"[Breakfast Moon] is the perfect book for all those children who grow up thinking that the Moon is only up at night. Readers see how the Moon looks in the morning sky compared to items familiar to them -- bananas, fried eggs, and rhinoceros horns. A fun read for the entire family."

— Dennis Schatz, 2019-20 President, National Science Teachers Association

"Meg Gower and her books have the ability to reach into a child's imagination and let it soar into the skies where the Michigan Moon lives. When you read Michigan Moon you are swept away to a place made of coyote howls and great horned owls, a new world at night.  Twas the Michigan Moon that told me so, you should read it too."

— Dakota Bahlau, 1st Grade Teacher

"Using many concepts young children learn in school, Breakfast Moon and its activities are a wonderful introduction to the wonders of the moon for the future astronomer or scientist."

Angela Dalton, Children's Book Author

"I loved [Breakfast Moon’s] rendering of solid scientific information in an imaginative, childlike format!  I think equating shapes to things children can touch (and eat!) is brilliant… the historical context, with Mae Jemison and Arthur Walker, adds more depth and complexity.  Wow!  What an accomplishment."

“Meg’s break-out sessions were awesome. The kids were very interested in her presentation. She took time to answer their questions and encouraged participation. The book tied in well with the little journals she sent home with them.”

Sandy Warolin, Librarian

"Meg Gower did an amazing job presenting to our kindergarten through second grade students. Her presentation was engaging and her use of visuals and sounds effects were perfect in capturing the students’ attention."

Mike Arbuckle, Dean of Students, George Long Elementary School

"We loved having Ms. Gower visit our school. She kept 300 students in rapt attention; it was a very interactive experience. Cannot recommend her highly enough for any elementary school!"
