Eat Your Own Breakfast Moon

Use round waffles as your Moon. Ask kids to eat away at the edge to create the next Moon phases (be sure to take pictures along the way!) See if you can eat the waffles into these shapes: Full Moon, Waning Gibbous (just a little eaten off the side), Half Moon (3rd quarter), Waning Crescent, and NEW MOON (all gone!)

If you like sandwich cream cookies, try eating them into Moon phases as shown on this link from NASA.
