Breakfast Moon
Written by Meg Gower & illustrated by David Barker, Breakfast Moon is an engaging storybook for young scientists. Mae and her little brother, Arthur, choose what to eat for breakfast each morning based on the shape of the Moon. But what happens when they can’t see the Moon? Developed in partnership with early childhood educators and developmental psychology researchers, the story encourages children to observe the world around them.

Michigan Moon
The magical “Michigan Moon” tells the story of creatures of the night in this children's picture book. It’s based on an original lullaby by Harriet Gower, written for her daughter, Meg. As an adult, Meg expanded the song into a seven-verse poem. Illustrated with exquisite wildlife photography from three Michigan photographers. Published by Fifth Avenue Press.

Milky Way
Our new storybook featuring Mae and Arthur is on hold due to loss of science grant funding. Proposed story: The children go camping and see the Milky Way for the first time! They learn about light pollution and use their new-found knowledge to help their school make good “Dark Sky” choices. This book is being developed with an editorial team from the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and includes author Angela Dalton.
